The sewer system in the Ulagat district of Shymkent has been launched, allowing over 2,200 subscribers to connect to the centralized system.

In Ulagat, project design and cost documentation for the construction of sewer networks were developed, receiving state expert approval in 2021. Budgetary funds were allocated for construction work in 2022–2023. The construction was carried out by the contracting company AlemStroy-1 LLP. The acceptance certificate of the facility was completed at the end of 2024. The project declared the construction of sewer networks with a total length of 40.9 kilometers as fully completed, with a 100% work performance indicator.

However, the contracting organization did not fully complete the work, leading to several discrepancies in the volume and quality of construction. Following inspections, appropriate measures were taken against the contractor for failing to meet its obligations. Specifically, sewer pipes were not laid on four streets, covering around 700 meters in total, the sewer pumping station was non-functional, manholes were clogged, and road surfaces were not restored.

To address these issues, the city of Shymkent's Department of Energy and Infrastructure Development, utilizing sponsor funds, laid the missing pipeline sections and launched the sewer pumping station. Additionally, manholes were cleaned and their bases reinforced with concrete. The sewer system is now operational. Residents wishing to connect to the centralized sewer system need to apply to the State Communal Enterprise "Water Supply and Sewerage Management" through the eGov electronic government portal.

In Astana, applications are now being accepted from citizens on the housing waitlist for credit housing located in buildings No. 36, 36/1, 36/2, and 36/3 on A91 Street. This program is part of the Housing and Utilities Infrastructure Development Concept for 2023–2029.

Applications are being accepted from October 7 to October 19, 2026, through the personal account on the Baspana Market website. Candidate selection is scheduled for October 21.

A total of 562 apartments are available, including:

• 166 one-bedroom apartments;
• 276 two-bedroom apartments;
• 80 three-bedroom apartments;
• 40 four-bedroom apartments.

The buildings are five stories high with no elevator. The apartments are offered with a clean finish.

The cost per square meter is 332,916 tenge. The loan interest rate is 5%, and the annual percentage rate (APR) ranges from 5.2% to 5.8%. The initial down payment starts at 10%.
