1. About this document

This editorial policy describes the principles that guide the editorial team of the online media outlet "ZHKH 24" in preparing and publishing materials.

2. Mission

"ZHKH 24" is a specialised outlet covering Kazakhstan's housing and utilities sector. Our task is to explain ZHKH matters clearly and accurately: tariffs, legislation, condominium property management, capital repairs, and the rights and obligations of owners of apartments and non-residential premises. The outlet covers all forms and entities of management provided for by the Law "On Housing Relations" — homeowners' associations (HOAs), direct joint management, as well as the reorganisation of the formerly operating apartment owners' cooperatives (KSK), and the activities of management companies and apartment building managers.

3. Accuracy and sources

3.1. The editorial team relies on official and primary sources: regulatory legal acts, government data, official statistics, documents and comments from authorised persons.

3.2. When using information from external sources, the editorial team names the source and places an active hyperlink to the original.

3.3. The editorial team seeks to verify facts, dates, amounts and legal provisions before publication. References to legislation cite the act and are subject to verification against official sources.

4.1. Materials are presented neutrally, without promoting political interests.

4.2. During election periods, the editorial team maintains a particularly balanced and neutral tone and does not engage in campaigning.

5.2. Materials are published under the responsibility of the editorial team.

5.3. Images created using AI that could be perceived as a real photograph of an event or person are accompanied by a corresponding label.

6.1. The outlet publishes author columns and expert materials. The author's opinion may differ from the editorial position, which is indicated where necessary.

6.2. Specialists in the ZHKH sector are involved in preparing materials.

7. Corrections and retractions

7.1. When an inaccuracy is identified, the editorial team makes a correction and, if necessary, publishes a clarification or retraction.
