Man in Astana Penalized for Riding a Horse on the Road

A 35-year-old man in Astana has been held administratively accountable for riding a horse on a roadway and sidewalks to film a video for social media.

The man was shooting a video for one of the capital's venues and rode a horse along traffic lanes and pedestrian sidewalks, obstructing pedestrian movement.

Later, while heading towards the 'Baiterek' monument, the horse soiled the sidewalk and damaged greenery at one of the intersections, thereby violating local beautification regulations.

For both infractions, the man has been subjected to administrative penalties. The Astana City Police Department urges residents and visitors to comply with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, respect others' rights, and avoid actions that create inconvenience or danger to other road users and pedestrians.
