Construction of Substation Along Badam River Continues in Shymkent
Construction of a 110/6 kV substation along the Badam River in Shymkent is ongoing, aimed at improving the city's power supply reliability.

In Shymkent, the project for constructing a 110/6 kV substation with a 110 kV power transmission line along the Badam River is in full swing. The aim of the project is to enhance the reliability of power supply and develop the city's energy infrastructure.
The project is led by LLP 'AlatauEnergoProject', with technical oversight by LLP 'TuranKurylys', while JSC 'Electromontazh' acts as the contractor.
As part of the project, installations are planned for an AT-3 autotransformer with a capacity of 125 MVA, a 110 kV cable line stretching 1.5 km, and a power transformer with a capacity of 40 MVA on the premises of LLP 'Standard Still'. Currently, the AT-3 autotransformer with a capacity of 125 MVA has already been installed at the 220 kV 'Kazygurt' substation. The 110 kV cable line, spanning 1.5 km, has been fully laid. Additionally, the installation of 220 kV busbars for the first and second sections has been completed, while the installation of 110 kV busbars is ongoing.

Upon the completion of all installation work, the AT-3 autotransformer will be connected and subjected to a 72-hour test run. Should the tests prove successful, the equipment will be commissioned. This project will allow for the redistribution of load between the AT-1 and AT-2 autotransformers, thereby reducing their load and enhancing the reliability of the power networks.
Once the project is finalized, voltage will be supplied to the 110/35/10 kV 'Akzhar' substation, improving the reliability of power supply to the Kursai district. This project marks a significant step in the advancement of Shymkent's energy infrastructure and is aimed at ensuring a reliable power supply for consumers.
