Energy Minister of Kazakhstan Meets EU Ambassador in Astana
Kazakhstan's Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov meets EU Ambassador Aleska Simkic to discuss energy cooperation and infrastructure projects.
The Energy Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Akkenzhenov, held a working meeting with the European Union Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Aleska Simkic. During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues of cooperation in the energy sector, including interaction on international energy markets, ensuring the reliability of energy resource supply, the development of renewable energy sources, and the implementation of joint infrastructure and investment projects.
Special attention was given to the development of transport and logistics cooperation and the enhancement of export infrastructure, as well as the prospects for initiatives aimed at advancing energy cooperation and promoting sustainable development principles.
Furthermore, the participants exchanged views on strengthening regional partnerships in the energy sector and executing joint projects of mutual interest.
As a result of the meeting, both parties confirmed their interest in continuing constructive dialogue and further developing mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstan and the European Union, as reported by ЖКХ24, citing the website of the Ministry of Energy.
