Ministry of Energy Unveils Digital Solutions Package for Energy Sector at AI & Digital Bridge 2026
The Ministry of Energy launched a digital solutions package for the energy sector at AI & Digital Bridge 2026 in Astana, featuring AI design and quantum data protection.

On October 2, 2026, the Ministry of Energy presented a suite of technological solutions aimed at the digital transformation, increased efficiency, and reliability of the energy sector during the AI & Digital Bridge 2026 in Astana.
The unified technological concept integrates four interconnected areas: AI-powered energy facility design, real-time management, quantum protection of data transmission channels, and solutions for safeguarding critical infrastructure from unmanned aerial vehicles.
This approach showcases the comprehensive application of digital technologies throughout the lifecycle of an energy facility—from design and operational management to ensuring informational and physical security.
The AI design direction is spearheaded by PowerChina Chengdu, where artificial intelligence is used to calculate the site and parameters of an energy facility even before construction begins. This initiative includes plans to establish a joint R&D center with Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
Rauda Technologies, through the Palanor platform, offers solutions for real-time energy system monitoring and management. The system detects deviations as they occur and suggests response options, with the final decision confirmed by a dispatcher.
A separate segment is devoted to data protection. In partnership with the Kazakhstan-Singapore Center for Quantum Technologies at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Qubitera is implementing a pilot project using quantum methods to secure data transmission channels of energy facilities. The project aims to enhance the security of critical information channels against emerging computational threats.

Dominor Partners focuses on protecting critical infrastructure from drones. A detection, recognition, and response perimeter is established around the energy facility, with the operator deciding on the mode of response.
The Ministry of Energy also introduces the KMG.AIAN initiative, which aims to unify the four stages of the petroleum product cycle—extraction, transportation, processing, and distribution—into a single national fuel balance. This approach helps identify potential deficit risks in specific regions in advance and leverages data for decision-making processes.
The digital transformation of the energy sector envisions a shift from isolated technological solutions to their comprehensive application. Artificial intelligence, modern management systems, and new data protection tools are set to enhance infrastructure reliability and decision-making efficiency. The showcased projects highlight the practical capabilities of these technologies and offer an outlook on their further application in the energy industry.
The Ministry of Energy continues its efforts to implement modern digital solutions, develop data analysis and artificial intelligence tools, and strengthen the technological resilience of the fuel and energy complex, reports ЖКХ24, referencing the Ministry of Energy's website.
