Parks in Zhetisu Being Revamped Under 'Taza Qazaqstan' Program
Renovations of central parks in Zhetisu Region are ongoing as part of the 'Taza Qazaqstan' program, including a major upgrade in Aksu District.

This year, as part of the 'Taza Qazaqstan' program, central parks in three districts of the Zhetisu Region are undergoing renovations. One of these parks is located in the Aksu District, in the village of Zhansugurov, where construction is currently ongoing. The complete renovation of the central park is planned to be finished next year. This was announced by the region's akim, Beibit Isabayev, during a meeting with local residents, as reported by the website of the Zhetisu Energy and Housing and Utilities Department.
According to the akim, park renovations are underway this year in the Karatal, Koksu, and Aksu Districts.
- We decided to divide the abandoned park in the village of Zhansugurov, which spans 21 hectares, into two parts. Ten hectares will remain as a recreational area, and on the remaining land, we plan to build a modern stadium, which the district needs. This year, initial funds from the local budget have been allocated for the park's major renovation. The remaining funding will be provided next year. It is expected that the park construction will be completed next year. The design and estimate documentation for the stadium is being prepared, following which a corresponding application needs to be submitted. I instruct the district akim to rigorously oversee this work, - stated B. Isabayev.
During the meeting with Aksu District residents, the regional head emphasized that several significant projects are being implemented under the 'Taza Qazaqstan' program, including repairs of roofs and façades of apartment buildings, as well as the construction and improvement of courtyards, along with children's and sports playgrounds.

Last year, roofs, façades, and courtyards of 16 homes were renovated in the villages of Matai, Kyzylagash, and Zhansugurov. Additionally, between 2025 and 2026, more than 40 kilometers of power lines and over 1,300 streetlights are set to be installed in the villages of Matai, Koltaban, Koshkental, Altynaryk, and Sagabuyin.
Residents of Zhansugurov, whose homes have been improved, shared their views.
- The apartment buildings we lived in used to look old and worn out. Now, thanks to the refurbishment, the walls have been updated and the roof replaced. The buildings look like new. We express our gratitude to everyone involved in these works, - shared Murathan Zhumanov.
