Kazakhstan Launches New Digital Portal for Electricity Market Analysis
Kazakhstan introduces a new digital portal for electricity market analysis, enhancing access to interactive analytics and statistical data.
The Joint Stock Company 'Kazakhstan Electricity and Power Market Operator' has introduced a new digital internet resource, featuring a next-generation analytical portal for the analysis of Kazakhstan's electricity market. This platform combines interactive analytics, statistical data, and monitoring tools for the functions performed by 'KOREM' JSC.
At the heart of the new resource is the KOREM Information Portal—a digital analytical platform that provides market participants, government agencies, and the expert community access to interactive statistics and analytical data on the services offered by the company.
The launch of this new digital portal is a phase in the implementation of 'KOREM' JSC's Development Strategy for 2025–2035, which emphasizes the advancement of innovative solutions, digitalization of processes, and enhancing interaction mechanisms with market participants.
A key feature of the portal is the analytical dashboard—a centralized electricity trading information panel, which allows for analysis of trading results starting from July 1, 2023. Users can track the dynamics of supply and demand, volumes of concluded deals, changes in weighted average prices, trading activity of participants, and compare these metrics over various time periods. Additionally, users can access information on the buying and selling of imbalances, types and costs, balancing zones, operations with neighboring countries, and hourly volumes of balancing electricity.
The new internet resource also features an intelligent chatbot to help users quickly find the information they need and navigate through the platform's digital services.
In the future, 'KOREM' JSC plans to enhance the portal's analytical capabilities by incorporating artificial intelligence technologies. The use of AI will further the data processing tools, assist in identifying market trends, and improve user efficiency with analytical information.
