A large-scale environmental campaign called 'Clean Shore' took place in Astana as part of efforts to clean and improve the Sarybulak riverbanks, according to the official website of the Astana city administration.

The 'Clean Shore' ecological event was organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan with support from the Astana city administration and the Astana Department of Ecology. Volunteers from the 'Astana Zhastary' youth resource center actively participated in cleaning the riverbank areas.

The campaign was part of the republic-wide initiative 'Clean Kazakhstan,' aimed at maintaining the cleanliness of coastal zones and encouraging a respectful attitude towards nature.

'Today, as part of the 'Clean Shore' ecological campaign, we are cleaning the coastal territories and areas adjacent to water bodies. In Astana, the campaign included cleaning the area around the Sarybulak River. Such events not only help to maintain the cleanliness of riverbank zones but also cultivate a sense of responsibility towards the environment. It is important for taking care of nature and urban cleanliness to become a shared goal, one that everyone can contribute to,' said Alimzhan Zhanbatyr, Deputy Head of the Department of Ecology in Astana.
