Almaty Enhances Pedestrian Routes and Renovates Residential Facades
Almaty enhances public spaces by renovating 60 residential facades and improving pedestrian routes in the district.

Almaty is making strides in improving public spaces and renovating residential building facades. This year, 60 facades of apartment buildings are undergoing renovations, with work completely finished on 41 of them, as announced by Arman Shamshin, the Akim of Almaly District, during a press conference at the Regional Communications Service.
Facade renovations adhere to the city's design code: buildings are clad in natural stone and granite, air conditioners are placed in decorative baskets, balconies are styled uniformly, and architectural lighting is installed. Restoration work is being carried out on stucco decorations on historically significant buildings.
A pedestrian route is being established in the central part of the district, connecting walking zones along Baiseyitova and Panfilova Streets to Masanchi and Karasai Batyr Streets, reaching Abay Avenue. Currently, Panfilova, Chaikovsky Streets, and Gagarin Avenue have been enhanced, with ongoing work on Karasai Batyr and Kurmangazy Streets and major repairs in the square in front of the Youth Theater. These areas are being equipped with automatic and drip irrigation systems.
