New Public Space Developed in Astana's Baikonyr District

A new children's playground has opened in Astana's Baikonyr district, transforming a previously vacant area, according to the official website of Astana's akimat.

The area has undergone comprehensive improvements, featuring a large football field, a workout zone with fitness equipment, a children's playground, and a leisure spot for residents.

Local residents had long been waiting for this development. Now, children can enjoy the playground, youth can engage in sports, and everyone can stroll around the enhanced area and relax outdoors.

This new public space offers favorable conditions for residents to engage in active recreation and pursue a healthy lifestyle.

Efforts to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for residents continue throughout the district.

It is noteworthy that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev previously instructed authorities to maintain systematic work on developing urban infrastructure and enhancing and greening Astana. Currently, improvement projects are underway in all six districts of the capital. Over recent years, around 500 public and courtyard spaces have been developed in Astana.
