Astana Hosts 'People's Lawyer' Event Offering Free Legal Consultations to Residents

Residents of Astana had the opportunity to consult with lawyers during the social initiative 'People's Lawyer', held in the city. Over 30 government bodies and specialized organizations offered their services in one place, making it easy for citizens to receive necessary legal assistance.

The event was organized by the Almaty District Prosecutor's Office of Astana. It took place in a busy city location and brought together specialists from various government institutions.

Residents could receive consultations on housing issues, labor law, family legislation, social security, employment, and other relevant topics. Experts from government agencies provided explanations on problems and advised on possible solutions.

"Today, representatives from more than 30 government institutions are participating in the event. Our main goal is to enhance the population's legal literacy and address their questions across all areas. Citizens are informed about family legislation and effective methods of addressing the prosecutor's office and other government bodies when their rights are violated," stated Nurlan Toyshybekov, Prosecutor of the Almaty District of Astana.

According to Amanbol Amangeldin, Director of the Career Center for the Almaty and Sarayshik Districts, citizens were mainly interested in employment, job vacancies, and state support programs for employment. He highlighted the demand for specialists in construction, industry, engineering, accounting, and IT.

One participant of the event, Eldar Gilimzyanov, shared that he asked the prosecution representatives about legislative changes. "Today, I wanted to learn about the new laws from the prosecutor's office. I was particularly interested in updates on security and smart cameras. I received clear answers to my questions," he said.

According to organizers, the 'People's Lawyer' event will continue to be held in the future. This format allows citizens to receive assistance from multiple agencies simultaneously and obtain detailed action plans for their inquiries.
