Traffic Restrictions on Arykov Street in Almaty Due to Heat Main Reconstruction
Traffic on Arykov Street in Almaty will be closed from Sep 5 to Oct 10, 2026, for heat main reconstruction. Detours via Raiymbek Avenue will be in effect.
In Almaty, from September 5 to October 10, 2026, traffic will be completely closed on Arykov Street between Zhetysuiskaya Street and Zhangeldin Street. These restrictions are due to the reconstruction of a heat main, as reported by the city's Department of Energy and Water Supply.
Additionally, from September 12 to 25, temporary traffic restrictions will be in place at the intersection of Arykov and Zhangeldin Streets. However, Zhangeldin Street will not be fully closed; the restrictions will only affect the intersection with Arykov Street.
During the construction period, detours will be organized via Raiymbek Avenue and Makatayev Street. Traffic on adjacent streets will be managed according to the approved traffic management plan.
