In Almaty, a new public space for residents to enjoy has been developed at 23 Azat Street in the Boralday neighborhood.

The park was created as part of the 'Participatory Budgeting' program, which allows citizens to propose projects for urban environment improvements.

The area features gazebos and benches, a designated chess playing area, a lawn, and a green zone. Street lighting has been installed for comfortable evening visits.

In the autumn, there are plans to plant fir trees that are 3-4 meters tall.

Residents of the neighborhood now have another cozy spot for walks, family gatherings, and outdoor activities.

Smart Helmets: Action Cameras Deployed in Almaty’s Power Grids

Kazakhstan enhances safety in energy sectors with smart helmets and action cameras in Almaty’s power grids, aiming to prevent workplace injuries.

Smart Helmets: Action Cameras Deployed in Almaty’s Power Grids

The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues its efforts to enhance safety across energy infrastructure facilities, aiming to prevent workplace injuries.

JSC 'Alatau Zhariq Company' has started using action cameras to improve safety in electrical networks. In 2024, the first action cameras were introduced as part of a pilot project, and currently, their total number has reached 268 units.

Smart helmets have been issued to all field teams of the electrical networks districts (END) in Almaty and the Almaty region, with ongoing distribution to workshop teams.

These cameras enable real-time monitoring of safety compliance. END managers, dispatchers, and occupational safety specialists can quickly identify risks and demand work stoppages when necessary. Regular video analysis helps in spotting violations, after which explanatory discussions and additional briefings are conducted with the workers.

The implementation of action cameras strengthens control over occupational safety requirements, ensures the timely identification of hazardous situations, and allows for necessary measures to prevent industrial accidents.
