Around 70 Cases of Property Damage Identified in Astana: Measures Against Vandalism Intensified

Astana continues to systematically address and prevent property damage and vandalism. Efforts focus on preventing violations and fostering a culture of respect towards city infrastructure, as reported by the official website of the Astana Mayor's Office citing the city police department.

Video surveillance systems are installed throughout the city, and public spaces are monitored. Police officers engage in outreach activities with residents, using loudspeaker communications and drones to encourage adherence to order and protection of communal property.

Since the beginning of the year, about 70 cases of property damage have been registered in the capital. Bus stop shelters, benches, trash containers, and advertising structures are most frequently targeted. Additionally, there are frequent incidents of damage to cameras at residential entrances and elevator equipment.

The police warn that intentional damage to someone else's property is punishable under the law—with restitution required, fines imposed, and possible administrative detention.

The city police department urges citizens not to remain indifferent. If cases of vandalism are identified, they should be reported immediately by calling '102'. Special attention should be given to educating the younger generation and cultivating a respectful attitude towards the environment and communal property.

New Gas-Fired Boiler Plant at Almaty CHP-2 Starts Heating Output

The Almaty CHP-2 has launched a new gas-fired boiler plant, replacing coal, to provide heating. This initiative marks another milestone in the station's extensive modernization and its transition from coal to natural gas.

The new boiler plant is designed to produce heat for both heating and hot water supply, ensuring reliable heating service for Almaty's consumers and providing a necessary reserve of thermal capacity.

Hence, a new thermal generation facility is operational at Almaty CHP-2, with the next major step being the launch of the combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) equipment intended for electricity production.

The modernization of the station aims to eliminate coal use, enhance energy and heat production efficiency, and reduce the environmental impact on Almaty.
