Builders Honored on Professional Day in Almaty
Almaty honors builders on Builder's Day with awards and recognition for their contributions to the city's development and infrastructure.

A ceremonial event was held in Almaty to celebrate Builder's Day. The Deputy Mayor of the city, Beibut Shakhanov, congratulated representatives of the construction industry on their professional holiday.
He presented letters of gratitude for high professionalism and many years of service, and read out a congratulatory message from Almaty Mayor Darkhan Satubaldy.
"A builder is one of the most responsible professions, with representatives contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of society. This field demands a high level of professionalism, responsibility, work discipline, and dedication to their craft," the message from Darkhan Satubaldy stated.
The city head emphasized that the construction industry is one of the key drivers of economic growth, ensuring the development of urban infrastructure, attracting investments, creating new jobs, and improving the population's quality of life. For instance, by the end of 2025, investments in the construction industry amounted to 1 trillion 75 billion tenge, which is 343 billion more than in 2024.
"The increase in investment activity indicates the high attractiveness of the construction sector and creates conditions for the implementation of new residential, social, and infrastructure projects. Therefore, we can confidently say that thanks to your work, our city is becoming more modern, comfortable, and attractive for living and working," he noted.
Honors were awarded to representatives of various construction specialties, many of whom have dedicated decades to the industry.
Uristembek Zhakpanov noted that over the years he has had the opportunity to participate in the implementation of many significant projects. He mentioned that the greatest reward for a builder remains the ability to see the results of their work and understand that they serve the people. He also expressed gratitude for the high appreciation of his work and emphasized that such recognition inspires new professional achievements.
Estimator engineer Zaure Sadyrova shared that the profession requires high responsibility and attention to every detail. She highlighted that participating in the creation of new social and urban infrastructure projects brings particular pride, and the award received on the professional holiday was a great honor and recognition of her long years of service.
The celebration continued with a vibrant concert program. A special surprise was the premiere of the song "Almaty Qurulyschylar Ání," dedicated to the city's builders, performed by Nurlan Abdullin.
It is worth noting that in Kazakhstan, Builder's Day is celebrated annually on the second Sunday of August. Reported by TCK24, citing the Almaty Mayor's Office website.
