By 2026, Alatau District in Almaty will see the launch of four new schools and significant infrastructure projects, enhancing local education and utilities.

By 2026, four new schools with a total capacity of 4,300 seats are set to open in the Alatau District of Almaty, according to the district's akimat.

The upcoming academic year will see the opening of Lyceum No. 178 in the Zerdeli microdistrict, accommodating 550 students, School No. 230 in Akmarzhan for 2,000 students, and a new school in the Ghajaiyp microdistrict for 1,200 students. School No. 160 in the Karasu microdistrict is expected to be operational by November this year.

In the Sayali microdistrict, construction has been completed on a family doctor outpatient clinic with a capacity for 200 visits per day. Additionally, an Innovative Creative Center has been built here to enroll children in various clubs.

There is ongoing development of engineering infrastructure. In 2026, 177.8 km of water supply and sewage networks are planned to be introduced in the Rahat–Madeniyet and Shapagat microdistricts, providing services to around 19,000 residents. An additional 92.2 km of networks are under construction in Terekty.

Moreover, medium repairs are underway on 95 streets with a total length of 61.1 km. A 3.2 km section of Saina Street has been completed, with ongoing work in the Boralday, Rahat–Madeniyet, and Terekty microdistricts.
