Aitekebi District Now Fully Supplied with Quality Drinking Water
Aitekebi District has successfully completed its initiative to provide all localities with quality drinking water, ensuring 100% access for residents.

In Aitekebi District, the initiative to provide all localities with high-quality drinking water has been successfully completed. The launch of a centralized water supply system in the village of Akkum, in the Zhabasak rural district, has ensured that 100 percent of the district's population now has access to clean drinking water.
Construction of the facility in Akkum began in 2023. During the project's implementation, the contracting organization faced challenges, leading to a temporary suspension of work. Following a change in contractors, construction resumed and was successfully completed. The project was funded with an allocation of 168 million tenge.
Prior to this system, residents of the village relied on well water and had to transport it home themselves. This created additional everyday challenges for many families, especially elderly residents.
