From September 4 to 13, 2026, traffic will be restricted on sections of Central and Taldy streets, from Kakimbek Salykova Street to Zhangir Khan Street in Almaty. This measure is due to urgent emergency and restoration work, as informed by Alatau Zharyk Company.
The work is necessary because of damage to power lines 220 kV No. 2353 and No. 2363, which has disrupted the 220 kV network ring that supplies power to Almaty and its agglomeration.
Alatau Zharyk Company's specialists need to promptly carry out repairs on the damaged cable section near Central and Taldy streets to restore a reliable power supply network.
The temporary traffic restrictions are necessary due to the nature of the work, which will be conducted around the clock with all necessary safety measures in place. A company spokesperson assures that every effort will be made to complete the work swiftly and minimize the duration of traffic restrictions.
