Kazakhstan and Germany discussed the prospects for energy-efficient modernization of residential buildings.
Under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Rysdauletov, a working meeting was held on issues of enhancing the energy efficiency of the housing stock.
Representatives of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the German Energy Agency (dena), the Shanyrak Association, JSC "Kazakhstan Housing Company," and other interested organizations participated in the meeting.
"Increasing the energy efficiency of residential buildings is one of the priority areas for the development of housing and communal services. The implementation of modern solutions will not only reduce the consumption of energy resources but also enhance the comfort of living for citizens," noted Murat Rysdauletov, as stated in the announcement.
During the meeting, participants discussed the prospects for creating a project office on issues of energy efficiency in the housing sector, the implementation of pilot projects for building typologies, the improvement of legislation, as well as the results of the analysis of the economic efficiency of energy-saving modernization of residential houses.
As a result of the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further cooperation and exchanged proposals for developing mechanisms to enhance the energy efficiency of Kazakhstan's housing stock. This was reported by ЖКХ24, citing the website of the Committee for Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
