Urban sewage networks at risk, and 69 enterprises in Shymkent risk being left without drainage services
Shymkent's sewage networks are at risk due to improper industrial wastewater discharge, affecting 69 enterprises. Urgent compliance needed to avoid penalties.

LLP "Water Resources - Marketing" sends notifications to industrial enterprises regarding the fulfillment of technical conditions and regulatory requirements in the part of discharging industrial wastewater into the drainage system. According to Shymkent · Energy and Infrastructure, despite repeated warnings, a number of enterprises have not updated their technical documentation and failed to ensure the necessary quality control of industrial effluents.
Industrial wastewater with exceeding permissible concentrations of pollutants leads to clogs and accidents in the sewage networks, disrupts the operation of pumping equipment and treatment facilities. Article 111 of the Water Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan obliges water consumers to comply with the rules for the use of water supply and wastewater systems.
Every enterprise must control the composition and volume of discharged wastewater, maintain local treatment facilities, monitoring wells, and measuring devices in good condition. It is strictly prohibited to discharge fats, oil products, industrial waste, meat processing and slaughterhouse waste, sewage treatment sludge, and other pollutants into the urban sewer system.
In accordance with Article 112 of the Water Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in the event of violations being detected, the legislation provides for enforcement measures, including sampling, transferring materials to authorized state bodies, as well as restricting or completely suspending the acceptance of wastewater. LLP "Water Resources - Marketing" urges enterprises to promptly eliminate the identified violations.
