A strategic session of buildingSMART Kazakhstan was held in Almaty, focusing on the digital future of construction and the implementation of BIM technology.
June 5, 2026 in Almaty, a strategic session of buildingSMART Kazakhstan took place, operating under the AO "Kazakh Scientific Research and Design Institute of Construction and Architecture" as a national platform for the development of openBIM, digitalization of the construction industry, and the implementation of building information modeling technology.
The event brought together participants from the professional community, representatives of member organizations of buildingSMART Kazakhstan, experts in the construction industry, educational institutions, and technology companies.
During the strategic session, key directions for the development of buildingSMART Kazakhstan, the expansion of the professional community, and the mandatory application of BIM technology in the Republic of Kazakhstan were discussed.
