Over 24,000 Residents in Akmola Region Gain Access to Gas

Over 24,000 residents in the Akmola region now have access to gas. In the Tselinograd district of Akmola region, gas supply systems in the villages of Karazhar and Karaotkel were launched ahead of schedule.

The construction and installation work, originally expected to be completed by 2028, has been fully finished. Thanks to the early commissioning of the infrastructure, more than 24,000 residents in this area near the capital can now access natural gas.

The extensive project involved about 240 kilometers of new gas pipelines. Karazhar became the seventh, and Karaotkel the eighth locality in the Tselinograd district to fully resolve their gas access issues. The simultaneous launch of these facilities was made possible by their location on a single mainline.

In Karazhar, about 53 kilometers of pipelines were laid, providing approximately five thousand residents with natural gas access. In Karaotkel, the new pipelines stretch 185 kilometers. This village is home to over four thousand families, and about one and a half thousand subscribers are already connected to the system. The gasification of this village was carried out in five phases: the first two were commissioned in December last year, and the remaining three were completed this year.

Efforts to provide Tselinograd district residents with natural gas continue. This year, a similar project is being implemented in the village of Kyzylsuat, where around 3,000 residents will gain access to gas upon completion.

Additionally, project documentation is being developed for gasification in the villages of Akmol, Kabanbay Batyr, Utemis, Kyzylzhar, Nuresil, and Kazhymukan. These projects are slated for implementation in 2027, aiming to cover more than 30,000 residents.
