Modernization of Heating Networks Nearing Completion in Taldykorgan as Part of National Project

The modernization work on the heating networks in Taldykorgan, the administrative center of the Zhetisu region, is nearing completion as part of a National Project. Today, the regional governor Beibit Isabayev reviewed the progress of major infrastructure projects and the city's urban improvement measures, as reported by the Zhetisu Regional Administration's press service.

The governor first visited the reconstruction site of the D400/350/250 mm heating network along Birzhan Sal Street. A contractor representative stated that the modernization of 1,970 meters of the network is complete, with the remaining 30 meters expected to be finished in two days. Currently, there are 48 workers and 18 pieces of machinery involved. The regional governor instructed the contractor to finalize the asphalt paving and beautification works promptly, aiming to complete the project by early October.

Later, Beibit Isabayev inspected the reconstruction of the main heating network along Zhansugurov Street, a crucial thermal artery of the city. This network supplies heat to 80% of the city. The length of the network is 3.5 kilometers, with pipes measuring 700 mm in diameter. The work commenced in May this year. The modernization project covers the network section from Gagarin Street to Karatal Street. Currently, asphalt concrete paving is underway. The project aims to ensure reliable heating supply during the winter season.

The governor emphasized that construction must be completed on schedule before the heating season begins.

Continuing his visit, Beibit Isabayev talked with residents of apartment buildings on Birzhan Sal Street, where courtyard improvements have been made. Residents noted the positive changes in the city.

"This year, the road on our street was renovated, and we are very pleased. The facades of old buildings have been improved, and now they look no less attractive than new ones. Our courtyards have also been enhanced. We only ask that the youth preserve the appearance of homes, yards, and surroundings," said resident Victoria Muradova.

The regional governor emphasized that the program 'Taza Kazakhstan,' initiated by the President, aims to modernize mindsets and foster environmental culture. He pointed out that the upbringing of youth should be the responsibility not only of the local administration and schools but also of every family.

"We have significantly increased the budget for Taldykorgan. As a result, extensive construction and landscaping are underway. On Birzhan Sal Street, facades have been renewed, roofs repaired, courtyards enhanced, and new asphalt laid. We must learn to preserve the conditions created for a comfortable life. Children and youth should be brought up with a sense of responsibility towards the environment and property—this is a task for tenant associations, parent committees, residents, and all citizens," stated B. Isabayev.

This year, Taldykorgan plans to renovate the facades of 24 apartment buildings, with work completed on 5 of them. The installation of metal frameworks and fiber cement panels is underway for the others, expected to be completed by the end of September. Out of 33 buildings where roof repairs were planned, work has been completed on 22, with the remainder expected to be finished by October 15.

Moreover, on this day, the regional governor assessed the landscaping around the new educational building for 300 seats at the Bilim-Innovation Lyceum for gifted children, which is planned to open in the second quarter.
