Transformation of Kilometre-long Alley and Renovation of 'Jetisu' Park in Zhetysu District of Almaty
Kazibaeva Street's pedestrian alley and 'Jetisu' Park in Zhetysu District of Almaty have been transformed and renovated for better green spaces.

In the Zhetysu District of Almaty, a pedestrian alley along Kazibaeva Street has been transformed, and the 'Jetisu' Park has been renovated. Almaty mayor Darkhan Satybaldy inspected the progress during a working visit.
On Kazibaeva Street, over 1 kilometer and 2.3 hectares have been landscaped. New walking paths, squares, and lawns have been established, and automatic and drip irrigation systems have been installed. Over 21,000 shrubs have been planted as part of the greening effort. Additionally, the planting of 150 trees continues, including 72 mature linden trees and 78 young saplings.
Special attention has been paid to cleaning the area. As a result of the improvements, 194 truckloads of construction waste have been removed. Previously neglected areas have been transformed into green spaces for residents' walks and recreation.
During the inspection, Darkhan Satybaldy instructed to enhance efforts to maintain cleanliness and sanitary order, ensuring the proper upkeep of the improved areas and preventing the emergence of illegal dumps.
In 'Jetisu' Park, enhancement and greening works have been carried out. Tartan and tile pavements have been laid, and 210 thujas, 720 shrubs, and 269 perennial plants have been planted. For lighting, 153 lamps have been installed.

The mayor also emphasized the need for further improvement of vacant lands. He instructed to develop options for their rational use, taking into account residents' needs, which may include creating small squares, green zones, and spaces for daily recreation.
The enhancement of the alley on Kazibaeva Street was funded by sponsorships.
The renovation of Kazibaeva Street is part of targeted efforts to create a unified system of pedestrian routes and public spaces in the Zhetysu District. Nearby are four educational institutions — two kindergartens, a school, and a college. The new alley provides a more comfortable pedestrian route for children, parents, and students, connecting residential neighborhoods with social facilities.
Alongside the renovation of 'Jetisu' Park, these efforts aim to develop the district's green infrastructure, create convenient pedestrian connections, and establish accessible recreational spaces within walking distance from home.
