In Zhetysu, residents are offered to purchase coal during the summer
Residents of Zhetysu can purchase coal this summer as local warehouses are well-stocked. Daily deliveries ensure there is no shortage ahead of the heating season.
In Zhetysu, residents are offered to purchase coal during the summer. Solid fuel is regularly delivered to the coal warehouses in the Zhetysu region in adequate volumes. Currently, an average of 9 wagons is brought to the region daily. Overall, the population's demand for coal for the current heating season is 375 thousand tons, - reports the press service of the akim's office of Zhetysu region.
According to the regional department of energy and housing and communal services, there are 46 coal deadlocks and warehouses in the region, with 32 thousand tons of coal available at this stage.
Since May, 24 thousand tons have been delivered by rail. An average of 9 wagons of coal "Shubarkol" and "Karajyra" are arriving daily, and there is no coal shortage. Due to the sharp increase in demand during the fall and winter months, and to prevent queues for coal and delays in transportation, we remind residents of the need to purchase coal in favorable weather conditions, - reported the chief specialist of the regional department of energy and housing and communal services, Adilet Khasenov, as stated in the message.
It is worth noting that within the framework of preparation for the heating season of 2026-2027, repair and restoration work is being carried out by heating and power supply companies in the region. By the beginning of the heating season, 2 turbines, 15 boilers, 10.4 km of heating networks, 558 km of electrical networks, and 52 transformer substations will be repaired. In particular, as part of the National Project, the modernization of 4.9 km of heating networks in the city of Taldykorgan is planned.
In addition, the construction of a district boiler house with a capacity of 49 Gcal/h and heating networks in the Southwest residential area of the regional center is ongoing. The completion of these facilities is scheduled for October of this year. Also, in the cities of Taldykorgan and Tekeli, the phased introduction of gas turbine stations with a total thermal capacity of 118 Gcal/h and electric capacity of 137 MW is being carried out with private investments.
By the way, the current level of gasification in the region is 67.2%. Also, work is currently underway to gasify 16 settlements, including 12 settlements in Panfilov district, 3 in Karatal district, and 1 in Yeskeldy district. The work is planned to be completed by the end of this year. As a result of the implementation of these projects, the level of gasification in the Zhetysu region will consist of 126 settlements (72%) with a population of over 500.0 thousand residents.
