Eco Park 'Tamshybulak' to be Established in Zhetisu as Part of 'Clean Kazakhstan' Program
A new eco park 'Tamshybulak' will be established in Zhetisu, enhancing tourism and infrastructure, as announced by regional akim Beibit Isabayev.

A new eco park named 'Tamshybulak' is set to be established in the Zhetisu region, specifically in the village of Kapal, Aksu District, based on a natural site. This announcement was made by the regional akim Beibit Isabayev during a meeting with district residents, as reported by ЖКХ24 citing the website of the Energy and Housing and Communal Services Department of Zhetisu region.
Tourism is one of the key economic sectors in the region. According to the regional head, 50.7 billion tenge has been allocated from the state budget for the development of this sector from 2023 to 2025, with over 23 billion tenge earmarked for 2023 alone. Additionally, 23 recreational areas are being constructed through private investments, totaling 17.8 billion tenge.
These measures are enhancing the infrastructure for comfortable tourist experiences. Currently, the construction of shore protection structures on the shores of Lake Alakol and a sewage treatment facility is underway. The construction of engineering communication networks on the shores of Lake Balkhash is nearing completion. There are also plans to create three communal beaches along the shore. In the future, it is expected that the coastal area will be improved and private investors will be attracted.

One of the significant projects in the field of eco-tourism is the road construction to Burkhanbulak Waterfall in the Eskeldin District, with the completion scheduled for next year.
"Tourism development in the Aksu District is essential. It is important to unlock the tourist potential, which will enhance the region's economic activity. The natural source 'Tamshybulak' in Kapal village has great prospects. We need to prepare cost estimates and create conditions for visitors so that this site can be included in tourist routes. Under the 'Clean Kazakhstan' program, we will start work on the 'Tamshybulak' eco park," said Beibit Isabayev.
It is worth noting that, as per the instruction of the Head of State, three eco parks have already been created in the region: 'Koitas' in Sarkand District, 'Tasbaka' in the city of Taldykorgan, and 'Serkesai' in the city of Tekeli. The 'Tamshybulak' eco park in Aksu District will soon join them.
Annually, more than 2 million tourists visit the Zhetisu region.
