New Eco-Park 'Tasbaka' Opens in Zhetysu as Part of 'Taza Kazakhstan' Initiative

A new eco-park named 'Tasbaka' has opened in Taldykorgan, Zhetysu Region, marking a significant milestone within the 'Taza Kazakhstan' program under the directive of the Head of State.

During the first phase of the park's development, efforts were made to preserve the natural landscape as much as possible. The 'Koitas' eco-park in Sarkan District has already acquired its official status, while the 'Serkesay' eco-park in Tekeli is still under development, according to the press service of the Akim of Zhetysu Region.

The park's opening was attended by a group of eco-activists, schoolchildren, members of tourism clubs, athletes, and youth activists. Local cyclists organized a biking marathon to celebrate the occasion.

The city's Akim, Yernat Bazil, congratulated the guests on behalf of the region's head, emphasizing the importance of preserving the unique nature for future generations.

Dinara Bakirova, Chairperson of the NGO 'Creative Center Altyn Adam,' noted that the project symbolizes a connection between times and traditions, resulting from the collaborative efforts of local authorities and eco-activists.

Following the official ceremony, various activities were organized: an ethno-fashion show, excursions to the petroglyphs of the 'Kyzyl-Tas' area, interactive quests, a craft fair, national games, a festive concert, and a large-scale eco-action. The event drew thousands of visitors of all ages and became a significant moment for both Taldykorgan residents and guests.

The 'Tasbaka' eco-park is located near Taldykorgan, in the 'Kyzyl-Tas' cottage area. It features around 600 archaeological monuments, with the main attraction being a rock resembling a turtle. Pavilions, observation decks, and other facilities have been installed.

In Zhetysu, there are also eco-parks 'Serkesay' in Tekeli and 'Koitas' in Sarkan, contributing to the growth of eco-tourism in the region. The 'Tasbaka' eco-park is suitable for short breaks, 'Serkesay' focuses on sport activities, while the 'Koitas' eco-park offers comfortable conditions for recreation and leisure with playgrounds, sports facilities, and sculptures introducing visitors to the nature of the 'Zhongar-Alatau' park.
