Key Infrastructure Projects in Water Supply and Sewerage Implemented in West Kazakhstan Region

In the West Kazakhstan Region, as part of the National Project 'Modernization of the Energy and Utility Sectors', several key projects are underway to enhance the reliability of water supply and sewerage systems. Currently, the region is implementing four major projects in the city of Oral, covering both the upgrade of existing infrastructure and the construction of new facilities.

Among the projects being realized is the construction of Sewage Pumping Station SPS-29. At present, dismantling and preparatory works have been completed, and monolithic structures are being erected. The commissioning of this facility will allow for the pumping of up to 14,700 m³ of wastewater daily, ensuring a more stable operation of the sewerage system.

Another area of focus is the expansion of the underground water intake through the drilling of five wells and the construction of a water pipeline. As of today, the wells have been drilled, and 95% of the network installation is complete. The project will provide an additional water supply of up to 2.8 million m³ annually, enhancing water supply reliability considering population growth.

Ongoing is the reconstruction of Sewage Pumping Station SPS-1. Currently, monolithic works on building structures are being carried out. Upon completion, the project will ensure the processing of up to 40% of the city's wastewater, significantly improving the efficiency of the sewerage system.

Reconstruction of Booster Pumping Station BPS-20 is also in progress, aiming to increase equipment capacity and pipeline diameter. Already, 1.47 km of pipes have been laid, including sections using horizontal directional drilling methods. The project will reduce water network wear by 0.5% and decrease accident rates by 0.02%. Furthermore, the modernization will ensure more efficient water supply to Zachağan and enable connection of new subscribers.

The implementation of these projects will reduce the wear of engineering networks, decrease accident rates, and ensure the sustainable development of the region's utility infrastructure.
