Stepnogorsk Undergoes Thermal Infrastructure Upgrade

Stepnogorsk is in the midst of comprehensive preparations for the upcoming heating season. The city is simultaneously carrying out reconstruction and repair work on both neighborhood and main heat networks.

The primary goal is to refurbish the most deteriorated sections and enhance the reliability of the heating supply during winter peaks.

12 Kilometers of Neighborhood Networks Being Updated

One of the key projects is the reconstruction of the first-phase neighborhood heat networks. As part of this undertaking, 12 kilometers of pipelines are slated for renewal in single-pipe measurements.

As of July 23, the contractor, KazEvroStroy LLP, has dismantled 10.5 kilometers of old pipelines, covering 80% of the total scope. New networks have already been installed over 8.08 kilometers, which accounts for 70% of the planned volume.

Updating the neighborhood infrastructure will reduce network wear, minimize the risk of technological failures, and ensure more stable heat supply for residential buildings and social facilities.

Mainline with 530 mm Diameter 98% Ready

Simultaneously, the reconstruction of the main pipeline on the section from the city CHPP is underway. The project includes updating 13.97 kilometers of the heat network with a diameter of 530 mm.

The old pipeline has been completely dismantled. The new pipeline has been installed over 13.1 kilometers, comprising 98% of the total work. UK Stroy LLP is executing the works. Once the reconstruction is completed, the revamped section will enhance the reliability of one of the city's key heating supply thoroughfares.

Another Section of the First Mainline 97% Complete

In preparation for the heating season, current repairs are also being conducted on the first mainline heat network, which has a diameter of 630 mm. The project entails replacing 710 meters of pipeline. To date, old pipes have been dismantled over 660 meters, and the same volume of new pipeline has been installed. The section is 97% complete.

Work is proceeding according to the production schedule.

Bulk of Work to Be Completed Before Heating Season

In Stepnogorsk, the preparation of heat networks is being carried out comprehensively. The city is renewing neighborhood networks, nearly completing the reconstruction of the main pipeline, and repairing individual sections of the first mainline.

Performing these major works during the non-heating period will prepare the infrastructure for the upcoming winter load. The network updates aim to decrease wear, reduce the risk of emergency situations, and improve the reliability of heat supply.

For the residents, this translates to a more stable heat supply to homes, schools, kindergartens, and other social facilities during the heating season.

Preparations for the heating season in Stepnogorsk continue on schedule.
