Post-Disaster Recovery and Construction of a Solid Canal Underway in Shymkent's Yeltay District
Post-disaster recovery and construction of a solid canal in Yeltay district of Shymkent are underway, prioritizing urban environmental development.
The Department of Urban Environmental Development in Shymkent has made post-disaster recovery and the construction of a solid canal in the Yeltay district a priority.
Hydroproject KZ LLP is acting as the chief project designer and has developed the project titled "Post-Disaster Recovery and Construction of a Solid Canal in Yeltay Residential Area, Shymkent."
According to the project, work on fortifying the Yeltay canal includes concreting the canal bed over a total length of 910 meters and preparing the foundation for the installation of L-type LR10 trays over a stretch of 1,700 meters.

The project has received a positive expert review.
The estimated cost of the project is 599,526 thousand tenge, including VAT amounting to 82,693.215 thousand tenge. It is being financed through the city budget reserve, as per clause 3 of protocol No. 4 dated May 20, 2026.
As of now, the Department of Urban Environmental Development in Shymkent has issued industry conclusion No. 5 for this project on June 30, 2026.
