In Semey, the implementation of the national project for the modernization of energy and communal infrastructure was discussed
A workshop in Semey discussed the National Project for modernization of energy and communal infrastructure, focusing on public oversight and transparency.

In Semey, a special workshop was held focusing on the implementation of the National Project "Modernization of the Energy and Communal Sectors" (ECS), as well as the issues related to its communication support.
The national project includes the modernization of engineering infrastructure, the repair of communal networks, and the construction of new energy generation sources. The main goal of the project is to ensure a comprehensive renewal of the country's energy and communal infrastructure by 2029.
Particular attention during the meeting was paid to issues of openness and public oversight in the implementation of the project. Participants discussed mechanisms for informing the population, interaction with public councils and the business community, as well as ensuring transparency at all stages of implementation.
The Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Keremkulov, noted that the modernization within the national project will also include wastewater treatment facilities.

"In our direction, it is planned to attract about 1.9 trillion tenge. These funds are intended for the construction and reconstruction of 6,000 kilometers of water supply networks, 2,800 kilometers of sewage networks, as well as the construction and modernization of sewage treatment plants in 45 cities of the country," — said Nursultan Keremkulov.
As noted by the participants of the meeting, the implementation of the national project will significantly reduce the level of accidents, renew the worn-out infrastructure, and create conditions for the further development of the energy sector and communal services. At the end of the workshop, participants discussed practical issues related to the implementation of the project and exchanged proposals to enhance the efficiency and transparency of its execution.
