New Boarding School and Three Kindergartens Under Construction in Nauryzbai District, Almaty

In the Nauryzbai district of Almaty, construction is underway for a new boarding school and three kindergartens. This development was highlighted during a press tour organized by the Nauryzbai district administration in collaboration with the Regional Communication Service of Almaty.

Ensuring residents have access to quality social infrastructure remains a key priority for the district's development. New educational facilities are being built, creating thousands of additional spots for both schoolchildren and preschoolers.

Currently, construction continues on Boarding School No. 15, which will accommodate 340 students and includes a dormitory. The facility is fully built, with its opening scheduled for September 2026. Meanwhile, an extension for Gymnasium School No. 174 is nearing completion, offering 375 additional spots and set to welcome its first students this September.

Simultaneously, projects for the construction of early childhood education facilities are in motion. By the end of the third quarter of 2026, three kindergartens are expected to be completed: two facilities with 320 spots each in the Nurly Dala and Kuramys micro-districts, and a 240-spot kindergarten in the Kalkaman micro-district.

Furthermore, the district's network of educational institutions has already expanded with new establishments. Five schools have been put into operation: School No. 41 near Alem City residential complex with 1,200 spots, School No. 214 in the Nurly Dala residential complex with 1,500 spots, School No. 221 on Sabdenova Street with 2,500 spots, School No. 219 in the Kuramys micro-district with 1,500 spots, and School No. 223 in the Alma City-3 residential complex with 1,200 spots. Additionally, Kindergarten No. 202 has started operating in the Shugyla micro-district, designed to accommodate 320 children.

Nauryzbai district mayor Nazira Togizbayeva emphasized that the development of social infrastructure remains a pivotal focus in one of Almaty's fastest-growing areas. "Building new schools and kindergartens helps alleviate the shortage of student places, making education more accessible for residents of new micro-districts and creating comfortable conditions for children's learning and development," the statement read.
