Residents' Suggestions Lead to Courtyard Renovation in Almaty's Auezov District

The beautification of courtyards and public spaces continues in Almaty's Auezov District as part of the 'People's Participation Budget' program. This year, 29 projects proposed by the residents themselves are being implemented, reports the Auezov District Akimat.

Some of the completed projects are located at 182A Zhandosov Street and 4 Afstinao Street.

At the courtyard on Zhandosov Street, new lighting poles with LED lights, additional shelter lighting, a video surveillance system, and fencing have been installed. New electricity supply lines have also been laid.

The children's playground has been completely renovated with a safe tartan surface. New additions include play complexes, swings, a slide, a trampoline, a gazebo, and other elements. For sports activities, a workout area, outdoor gym equipment, a tennis table, and shelter have been equipped.

"The courtyard has changed beyond recognition. Now there's a modern, safe playground for children, good lighting, and a place for sports activities. It's very satisfying to see our wishes were heard and brought to life. Thanks for the great work!" shared Temirlan, a resident of a nearby house.

Another courtyard has been revamped on Afstinao Street. Here, play complexes for children of different ages, a trampoline, swings, carousels, balance beams, and a gazebo have been installed. Two workout areas have also been equipped for sports activities, and the area's lighting has been upgraded.

"After the improvement, the courtyard has become much cozier and safer. Now I walk here with my children every day. I'm especially pleased that the area is well-lit in the evenings, so we can spend time outside comfortably," said district resident Sabira.

Work under the 'People's Participation Budget' in Auezov District is ongoing. Projects are developed considering residents' suggestions and are aimed at updating courtyards, as well as children's and sports facilities.
