Astana plans to repair 50 streets this year, enhancing transport infrastructure and accessibility across the capital.

50 Streets to Be Repaired in Astana This Year

In 2023, Astana will carry out repair works on 50 streets, spanning a total of approximately 60 kilometers. This was announced by Astana's mayor, Zhenis Kassymbek, on his Instagram account, as reported by the official website of the city administration.

The mayor emphasized that the goal of these activities is the comprehensive development of the capital's road transport infrastructure. Alongside repairing existing roads, the construction of new roads and transport interchanges is ongoing, which will enhance transport accessibility and alleviate congestion in busy areas of the city.

Key Projects

  • Construction of Zhangeldin Street: This will provide a route between K. Kumisbekov Street and Sh. Beysekova Street, as well as access to School-Gymnasium No. 65, a technical college, and the Bilim-Innovation lyceum-boarding school. Works on engineering networks and road surfacing are underway.
  • Construction of S. Nurmagambetova Street: From Sh. Qaldyakova Street to Rayymbek Batyr Street. The project will improve transport links in the surrounding area and provide access to the LRT station. Road surfacing works are currently in progress.
  • Construction of Streets E67 and E68: Along the section from Tule Bi Street to A. Bekturov Street. The construction of street E68 will ensure transport connectivity between Tule Bi and A. Bekturov Streets, improving access to residential complexes. Road surfacing works are underway.
  • Construction of Local-7 and E522 Streets: In the "Prigorodny" residential area. The project will enhance transport accessibility to the residential district, the school under construction, and homes. Engineering network and road surfacing works are being carried out on E-522 Street.
  • Construction of a Street from Mangilik El Avenue, 40A to A. Bokeikhan Street ("Sapphire" Residential Complex): This will provide transport links and improve access to the "Sapphire," "Korkem-4," and "Kumbel" complexes. Engineering network works are currently underway.

Roadworks are being conducted throughout all districts of the capital. Contracting organizations are obligated to strictly adhere to established timelines and ensure the proper quality of work, as emphasized by Zhenis Kassymbek.
