Anti-Vandal Campaign Held in Astana
The 'Anti-Vandal' campaign was held in Astana's Saryarka district to beautify public spaces and combat graffiti.

In the Saryarka district of Astana, an event named "Anti-Vandal" took place. The event was conducted under the "Law and Order" initiative, as reported by the official website of the Akimat of Astana.
The organization of the campaign was undertaken by the "Astana Zhastary" youth resource center in collaboration with the Saryarka district akimat.
Volunteers participated in the beautification efforts around the skatepark on Mukhtar Auezov Street, painting over unauthorized graffiti and inscriptions.
According to Dauyrzhan Zumakhan, head of the center's crime prevention department, similar campaigns have been running since 2024. This year, the center has already conducted 357 campaigns.
"According to our monitoring, about 70 percent of the graffiti in the city is in the Saryarka district. That's why we chose this area for the current campaign. It's important to us to keep our city beautiful, and we stand against the defacement of public spaces," he stated.

Volunteer Darya Oleynikova, who participated in the campaign, noted that graffiti on bus stops, building walls, and benches spoils the city's appearance.
"I'm happy to take part in such events. The city becomes cleaner and more beautiful. It's nice to see young people actively involved in this common cause," highlighted the volunteer.
The campaign aims to maintain the city's cleanliness, foster a sense of responsibility towards public spaces, and engage youth in community service activities.
