Astana is successfully implementing the 'People's Budget' project, which empowers the capital's residents to participate in the beautification of their neighborhoods. This year, proposals have been selected for implementation across all six districts of the city, with most courtyards already upgraded, reports the official website of Astana's Akimat.

Following the 2026 voting results, five courtyard enhancement proposals were approved in the Yessil district: residential complexes 'Adina', 'Vienna Quarter', 'Arman Qala 5', 'Arman Qala 4', and 'Azure Quarter'. Work has been completed at four sites, with 'Azure Quarter' nearing completion.

The upgrades aimed to create a comfortable and safe environment, including new children's play areas, sports facilities, lighting installations, landscaping, and the addition of small architectural forms such as benches and trash bins.

In the Almaty district, the project facilitated improvements for over 25 courtyards. The work was conducted at addresses including Momyshuly Ave. 16; Ryskulbekov St. 16 and 6; Kuyshi Dina St. 22; Abai Khan Ave. 12/2 and 33; Jumabaev Ave. 16/2; Mustafin St. 5/1; Manas St. 11/1. Additional upgrades took place at Momyshuly Ave. 2, 2a, 2v; Musrepov St. 10/2; Satpaev St. 4/1; Manas St. 11/3, among others.

Sites feature new playgrounds and modern safety-enhanced play complexes, with sports zones and relaxation areas, plus landscaping of the grounds.

The Sarayshyq district saw 11 courtyards upgraded this year, with updates at addresses such as T. Zhurgenev St. 18/2; R. Koshkarbayev Ave. 60; K. Azerbaev St. 6, etc.

These are located at addresses including Aiganym St. 23; Sygynak St. 16/1; Aitmatov St. 41, and more. Completion of the remaining two projects is expected by the end of summer.

The Baikonur district received 15 applications for participation in the project. Comprehensive renovations transformed rundown spaces into modern leisure and sports areas, based on residents’ feedback. Work was conducted at locations such as Otyrar St. 7-11, Republic Ave., and others.

Additionally, asphalting was conducted at S. Seifullin St. 65.

In the Saryarka district, work has been completed on 10 courtyard areas, featuring new children's and sports facilities, small architectural elements, and enhanced living conditions. Completed work addresses include Titov St. 12 and 14, Zhenis Ave. 5, among others.
