Five New Clinics Under Construction in Almaty, Major Medical Facilities Getting Upgraded
Almaty is enhancing its healthcare with five new clinics and upgrades to major hospitals as part of a significant infrastructure development.

Almaty is currently witnessing significant enhancements in its healthcare infrastructure. The city is simultaneously constructing new clinics, upgrading existing hospitals, and expanding its network of primary healthcare services.
This update was shared by Nurbul Nursagatov, the Head of the Almaty City Construction Department, during a briefing by the Regional Communications Service.
According to him, construction and installation works are ongoing at 10 healthcare facilities. These include the building of five clinics in the neighborhoods of Quramys, Shughyla, Altyn-1, Aqzhar, and along Aiteke Bi Street.
– Besides this, the reconstruction of City Clinical Hospital No. 7, modernization of Maternity Hospitals No. 1 and No. 2, Alatau City Polyclinic, as well as the construction of an extension to Children's City Clinical Hospital No. 2 are underway. Special focus is placed on developing primary healthcare services. Family doctor offices are being constructed in the Sayaly neighborhood and along Aibasov Street, each designed to handle 200 visits per shift. Additionally, major repairs, restoration work, and seismic strengthening of City Polyclinic No. 16 continue, — noted Nurbul Nursagatov, as mentioned in the report.
