Fountains in Almaty Gradually Shut Down for Winter Season

Almaty is currently undergoing a scheduled winterization of its fountains for the autumn-winter period. These procedures are taking place in stages from October 1 to October 10. Experts from the municipal organization "Zhasyl Almaty," under the city's Ecology and Environment Management, are preparing the fountain systems for the colder months.

The fountains are being turned off, with water drained, and both the basins and equipment thoroughly cleaned. Additionally, specialists are blowing out and drying the engineering systems; certain equipment components are dismantled and prepared for winter storage.

The winterization process is essential to protect the engineering networks and equipment from low temperatures, taking into account the technical specifics of each individual site.

The work is expected to be completed by October 10. Once the winter period is over, specialists will conduct technical maintenance and prepare the fountains for the new season.
