Sports and Recreation Space Revamped in Almaty’s Altyn Besik Neighborhood

In the Auezov District of Almaty, upgrades to the public space on Trudovaya Street in the Altyn Besik neighborhood have been completed as part of the 'People's Budget' project.

Today, this modern 1-hectare area offers all the amenities needed for active recreation. It features large and small football fields, a basketball court, a workout zone, a modern children's playground, walking paths, and new benches and lighting.

Special attention has been paid to landscaping: 30 trees and 300 shrubs have been planted, a large-scale beautification effort has been undertaken, and an automatic irrigation system has been installed to make the space even more comfortable and green. For residents' safety, surveillance cameras and modern street lighting have been installed.

This public space has become a real attraction for neighborhood residents: children enjoy the playgrounds, youth play football and basketball and engage in sports, while adults relax and enjoy family walks.

This year, 29 projects are being implemented in the Auezov District under the 'People's Budget' initiative, making yard areas and public spaces more modern, safe, and comfortable for residents.
