Improvement of Taldykorgan: a comprehensive approach and citizen participation

Since the formation of the Zhetysu region, repairs and improvements have been carried out in 187 yards of residential multi-story buildings in Taldykorgan. This year, reconstruction has also covered another 19 yards. During a working visit, the akim (head) of the region, Beibit Isabaev, visited one of the updated yards and issued a number of instructions to the contracting organization, as well as communicated with the residents. The regional leader noted that a comprehensive approach is used in the improvement of the urban environment and emphasized the importance of the durability of the updated yards for residents, as reported by the press service of the akim of the Zhetysu region.

The project for the improvement of the yard of house No. 43 in the "Bolashak" microdistrict is nearing completion. The block of main works is finished, with special attention given to safety, comfort, and convenience criteria. During the improvement, asphalt and paving slabs were laid, fencing was installed, two new children's playgrounds were built, parking for cars was provided, and zoning for garbage container areas was established. In the near future, lighting, benches, and trash bins will be installed. The akim of the region emphasized that all work must be done qualitatively and on time, and it is also important for residents to take good care of their yard and engage in greening.

Beibit Isabaev reported that since last year, the budget of Taldykorgan has increased by 30%, which has allowed for large-scale improvement works in the regional center to begin. Projects have been initiated for road renewal, yard repairs, facades and roofs of multi-story buildings, installation of automated irrigation in green areas, and the creation of new parks and squares. The regional leader noted that citizen participation and support are essential in this work, emphasizing that "everything begins with cleanliness." The President of the country previously noted the importance of developing patriotism among citizens, including caring for the cleanliness of the environment.

Residents of this microdistrict have already noticed changes in their yards. One of the residents, Naiman Abdrasheva, expressing gratitude, noted that for the first time in seven years they have a new playground and emphasized the importance of instilling respect for labor in children.

It is noteworthy that since the formation of the region, within the framework of the "Budget of People's Participation" program, 25 children's playgrounds and sports grounds have been installed in the region, and 21 playgrounds are planned to be installed this year.
