16 Courtyard Areas Undergoing Renovation in Medeu District, Almaty

Renovation and maintenance work on courtyard areas is ongoing in the Medeu District of Almaty. This year, 16 projects targeting the improvement of courtyards are being implemented, focusing on enhancing safety and creating a more comfortable environment for residents.

'People's Budget' Program

As part of the 'People's Budget' program, six projects are being executed at the following locations:

• 53 Makataev St — 35 Pushkin St;
• 47 Dostyk Ave — 65 Kabanbay Batyr St;
• Dumann-2 neighborhood, buildings No. 25-26 and No. 29-30;
• 4 Kunayev St — 9 Valikhanov St;
• 10 Nusupbekov St;
• 49 and 51 Kaldayakov St — fencing of garden beds.

Special focus is given to areas frequented by children and residents of all ages. For instance, the current repairs in the courtyards of buildings No. 25-26 and No. 29-30 in Dumann-2 neighborhood have been completed. The rubber surface of the playground was entirely replaced, new play equipment was installed, benches were repaired, and safety-enforcing barriers were erected.

Ongoing Courtyard Maintenance

An additional 10 projects are being carried out within the framework of ongoing courtyard maintenance:

• Samal-1 neighborhood, buildings No. 37–40;
• 294/2 Dostyk Ave;
• 10 Satpayev St;
• 86 Zenkov St;
• 48 Nazarbayev Ave;
• 2A Kulzhinsky Tract;
• 18/16 Yanushkevich St;
• 6 Potanin St;
• 110 Kunayev St;
• 16/1 Kazhymukan St.

Throughout these projects, enhancements and repairs are being made to landscaping elements, playgrounds, surfaces, benches, and barriers. Particular attention is given not only to the appearance of these areas but also to their functionality and safety.
