In Zhetysu, projects for gasification of 84 populated areas have been developed for the loading of the gas pipeline "Taldykorgan – Usharal"
Gasification projects for 84 areas in Zhetysu region aim to fully load the Taldykorgan – Usharal gas pipeline by 2028.
In the Zhetysu region, 6 projects have been developed for the gasification of 84 populated areas in Aksu, Alakol, and Sarkand districts to ensure the full loading of the main gas pipeline "Taldykorgan – Usharal", constructed as part of the execution of the Head of State's instructions. The implementation of the projects is planned for 2026-2028, reports ZHKH24 citing the website of the Department of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of Zhetysu region.
According to the regional department of energy and housing and communal services, in order to increase the capacity of the main gas pipeline "Almaty-Taldykorgan", project estimation documentation for the construction of the looping of the main gas pipeline "Almaty-Taldykorgan" has been developed and a positive conclusion from the state examination has been obtained. The start of construction and installation works is scheduled for next year.
The level of gasification in the region is 67.2%. 110 populated areas have been gasified, providing access to gas for 467 thousand people. As part of the execution of the Head of State's instructions, work continues on the gasification of 16 new populated areas in the region, which will bring the total number of gasified populated areas to 126, and the level of gasification to 72% or more than 500 thousand people, the report states.
Before the formation of the Zhetysu region, only 5 populated areas had been gasified.
