46 Families Receive New Apartments in Shymkent
46 families in Shymkent receive new apartments as part of the city's housing initiative for socially vulnerable groups.

Forty-six families have been awarded new apartments as part of Shymkent's ongoing efforts to provide housing for citizens in need. The keys to rental housing were handed over to these families in the Asar-2 neighborhood.
These apartments have been allocated from the city's communal housing fund for citizens belonging to socially vulnerable groups. This includes people with disabilities, single-parent families, families raising children with special needs, large families, as well as orphans and children without parental care.
Gabid Syzdykbekov, the city mayor, participated in the ceremonial event, congratulating the new residents on this significant occasion and highlighting the systematic efforts being made in this area.
"Providing citizens with affordable and quality housing is one of the priorities of state policy. Acquiring a home is not just about moving into a new place for each family; it is a foundation of stability, future confidence, and well-being," stated the mayor.
Last year, 1,529 apartments were acquired for citizens from socially vulnerable categories. Currently, some of these have been added to the city’s housing inventory, while others are undergoing registration and distribution procedures through Otbasy Bank.
Since the beginning of the year, 235 apartments have been distributed, with 117 handed over to residents. Today, an additional 46 families received apartments, with remaining units soon to be allocated to those on the waiting list.
It is noteworthy that by the end of 2025, Shymkent will have developed 1,381,000 square meters of housing, indicating steady progress in residential construction and the fulfillment of presidential directives to provide citizens with affordable housing.
