Citywide Cleanup Held in Astana for World Cleanup Day

Today, on September 19, a citywide cleanup took place in Astana to mark World Cleanup Day. Residents participated in the national environmental challenge "Start with Yourself."

Locals were actively involved in cleaning up parks, squares, courtyards, and public areas, and also participated in tree planting. Participants shared photos and videos of the event on social media, using thematic hashtags: #WorldCleanupDay, #ТазаҚазақстан, #Өзіңненбаста, #Начниссебя.

"Today, on World Cleanup Day, my friends and I joined the national challenge 'Start with Yourself.' Cleanliness begins with each of us. Caring for the environment and maintaining order are simple yet important steps accessible to everyone," noted one of the participants.

The challenge emphasizes that a clean city depends on personal responsibility and daily actions. Participants hope to inspire others to care for nature, keep things orderly, and get involved in ecological initiatives through their example.
