"Shymkent Sushar" State Municipal Enterprise Will Provide Irrigation for Over 4600 Hectares of Agricultural Land by 2026

The State Municipal Enterprise with the right of economic management "Shymkent Sushar", which is part of the Department for the Development of Urban Comfortable Environment of the Akimat of the city of Shymkent, provides the service of supplying water resources for irrigating agricultural lands.

In the current year 2026, the enterprise conducted a large-scale campaign to conclude contracts. Water supply agreements have been signed with 520 farms, 4 legal entities, as well as with the owners of 4500 individual subsidiary farms. The total area of land planned for irrigation this current growing season is 4600 hectares.

Currently, the State Municipal Enterprise "Shymkent Sushar" is actively working within the framework of the water supply season. The main tasks of the campaign are to ensure a continuous and stable supply of water, minimize water resource losses, and increase the efficiency of irrigation systems.

To organize the water supply and conduct technical control over the channels, specialized personnel have been involved: a section chief, 5 channel foremen, and 23 water distribution controllers-inspectors.

The material and technical base of the enterprise includes 27 main water distribution nodes and hydraulic structures. All objects of the water infrastructure are in communal ownership and on the balance sheet of the State Public Institution "Department for the Development of Urban Comfortable Environment" of the city of Shymkent.
