Around 33,000 residents participated in a large-scale eco campaign in Jetisu, focusing on cleaning and beautifying public areas.

A large-scale environmental campaign gathered approximately 33,000 residents in the region, who united their efforts to beautify areas and maintain cleanliness in populated locations, according to a source.

Participants in the environmental event included representatives from government bodies, organizations and enterprises, public associations, youth, volunteers, as well as residents of cities and districts within the region.

During the community cleanup event held in the regional center, the city of Taldykorgan, the banks of the Karatal River were cleared.

Overall, as part of the eco campaign, efforts focused on the sanitary cleaning and improvement of public areas, streets, courtyards, parks, squares, and other locations, involving 287 units of special equipment.

As a result of the regional cleanup, 2,935 tons of waste were collected and removed.

It is noteworthy that since the start of 2026, 180 environmental events have been held in the region, focusing on environmental protection and fostering ecological culture, which involved over 133,000 people. A total of 58,000 saplings were planted, and 12,000 tons of waste removed.
