Kazakhstan's Electricity Production Reaches 91.7 Billion kWh Over Nine Months

In Kazakhstan, electricity production increased to 91.7 billion kWh over the first nine months of the current year. These figures were presented by Deputy Minister of Energy Yerlan Akbarov during a Government meeting.

To reduce the electricity deficit this year, approximately 2.4 GW of traditional energy capacities are planned to be commissioned. This includes projects such as the modernization of Almaty combined heat and power plants CHP-2 and CHP-3 with a capacity of 557 MW and 544 MW respectively, the construction of a gas turbine plant in Turkestan region with a capacity of 1000 MW, as well as the commissioning of turbine unit No. 11 and the installation of boiler No. 15 at the Atyrau CHP. Currently, a gas turbine unit with a capacity of 240 MW in Kyzylorda region and three waste heat boilers, along with a steam turbine generator with a capacity of 17 MW at the Tekeli energy complex, have already been commissioned.

"In the past 9 months, electricity generation from renewable energy sources amounted to 7.8 billion kWh. The 2026 plan is set at 8.8 billion kWh. By 2026, it is planned to introduce 10 renewable energy facilities with a total installed capacity of 245.8 MW. This year, 7 renewable energy facilities with a total capacity of 212.6 MW have already been commissioned. By the end of the year, it is planned to commission 2 solar power plants with a capacity of 30 MW and 1 hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 3.2 MW," noted the Deputy Minister.

Residents of Astana Submitted Over 2,000 Requests via TazaQazBot Chatbot Since the Start of the Year

Since the beginning of 2026, residents of Astana have submitted over 2,000 requests through the TazaQazBot chatbot, which operates on the Telegram messenger platform. This tool is crucial for enhancing the efficiency of the akimat's work and improving communication between residents and the government.

The online platform received 2,164 requests, of which 1,937 have been successfully processed, as reported by the official website of Astana's akimat.

Most requests focus on issues such as urban area maintenance, lighting, road repairs, landscaping, and waste removal. All submissions are processed within set time frames, helping to minimize potential inconveniences for residents.

One of the main advantages of digital services is the transparency of processes. Users can track the progress of their requests at every stage. Upon completion, they receive a photographic report and the opportunity to evaluate the quality of the services provided.

Requests are categorized into 24 types — ranging from territory cleaning and waste collection to road repairs, lighting, landscaping, and waterway cleaning. This categorization helps channel requests more efficiently to the appropriate services.

The TazaQazBot digital services have demonstrated their effectiveness in improving communication between residents and the government, accelerating response times to emerging issues, and achieving tangible results in maintaining order in the city and across the country.

TazaQazBot is an important tool for creating a comfortable urban environment.
