Heating Season Preparations Continue in Zhetisu: Region Receives 27 Rail Cars of Coal Daily

Heating season preparations in Zhetisu are proceeding as planned, with an average daily shipment of 27 rail cars or approximately 1,900 tons of coal to the region. Deliveries are ongoing, along with informational efforts about the locations where solid fuels can be purchased, as reported by the press service of the Zhetisu regional akim.

According to the regional department of energy and housing and communal services, 110,000 tons of coal have already been stockpiled as of the current period. The formation of the necessary reserves is ongoing.

"Currently, Zhetisu has 46 coal depots and stockpiles storing 31,800 tons of coal. Meanwhile, fuel deliveries arrive daily. According to Kazakhstani Railways Cargo Transportation, the region receives an average of 27 rail cars per day, comprising 14 cars with 'Shubarkol' coal and 13 with 'Karazhyra' coal. The total daily delivery amounts to 1,863 tons. Given the sharp increase in demand during the autumn-winter months, we advise purchasing coal in favorable weather conditions, before the cold sets in, to avoid queues and transportation delays," noted Ernur Elukhanov, head of the department of energy and infrastructure development at UHEHCS.

Thus, preparations for the heating season in the region are ongoing. The daily receipt of coal allows for the gradual formation of the necessary reserves to ensure the population is supplied with fuel for the upcoming winter period.
