Nearly 50 Families in Zhetysu Become New Homeowners Ahead of Republic Day

As Republic Day approaches, around 50 families in Zhetysu have celebrated moving into new homes. The families, who had been waiting in line for housing, were handed keys to apartments and individual houses in Taldykorgan, according to the press service of the Zhetysu Region Akim.

In Taldykorgan, 22 families were able to move into new homes located in the "Құлагер" and "Vostochny" neighborhoods, the residential complex "Zhastar-3," and the "Bereke" cottage town. Since the beginning of the year, 639 families in the regional center have received affordable housing, with the number expected to exceed 1,500 by the year's end. Over the past nine months, 92,100 square meters of housing have been commissioned in Taldykorgan.

"In anticipation of Republic Day, a joyful event occurred in our family. I have four children and had been waiting a long time. When I received the SMS, I couldn't believe it at first. Congratulations to everyone on their new homes," shared local resident Olga Genievskaya.

New homeowners also hail from the Koksu District, where they received keys to houses in the villages of Balpyk Bi and Zilikha Tamshybay. Since the start of the year, 69 citizens from socially vulnerable groups have been provided housing in the Koksu District.

"I joined the housing queue in Koksu District in 2019. I am raising six children. With the support of the regional akim, modern houses are being built here. We were given one. It's hard to put the joy into words. The children are happy. After all, housing is the basis of well-being," said Nargiz Kozhanazarova.
"We live in the village of Balpyk Bi. Today our family received the keys to a new house. We are overwhelmed with emotions. Thank you to everyone who helped make this dream come true. Happy upcoming Republic Day to everyone," congratulated fellow villagers Assiya Bayramova.

Residents of the village of Saryozek also celebrated a festive move-in. Here, 15 individuals who were living in emergency housing conditions received keys to apartments in a new five-story, 60-apartment building. Among them, Madina Dosan said:

"Our house was deemed hazardous two years ago. In turn, I received keys to a three-bedroom apartment. My husband and I are raising four children. We have three daughters and a son. Having our own home makes us even happier."

Overall, this year, 4,600 families in Zhetysu Region will be provided with housing.
